Light chasing on the Elbe, Dresden

Approaching strangers and asking them for their photo used to be unthinkable for me but a big interest and a desire to get to know people, get closer to them helped me to overcome this fear. My camera is my entrance card to people's space, a tool I use to protect myself from possible rejection, so I have a good explanation to myself in case of a  "no", that a person refuses a photo but not me. It helps me to be open to meeting new people even without a camera.

memories of spring

I thought it would be nice to share with you these beautiful family photos I took back in April in Lingnerpark in Dresden with a stunning view on the Elbe. The weather was great and a place we chose surprised us with lovely blooming trees. The whole atmosphere was very pleasant and relaxing. I realized that it's very important that people feel comfortable in front of you and your camera. This makes all the difference to the result and makes the process more natural and enjoyable.

I think one can definitely see it in these photos.
